Problem
GIANTY initially used Wix for website design and management. However, as the company expanded its software development services and game projects, the platform’s limitations—particularly in publishing content and managing job postings and career applications—became increasingly evident. The old website could no longer keep up with its growing demands, presenting several key challenges:
- Limited content management flexibility.
- Difficulty in scaling to accommodate new services and case studies.
- A design that no longer aligned with GIANTY evolving brand identity.
To address these issues, we decided to build a new version of the GIANTY website with the following goals:
More efficient content management
Case studies, services, and hiring.
A refined design
GIANTY brand and enhances user experience
Designing
I worked with the Branding team and art studio to establish a website style library and define the site structure & layout. Additionally, I ensured that all pages were fully responsive and visually consistent across devices.
Implementation
Backend
We selected WordPress CMS for its flexibility and seamless content management. I designed a custom WordPress theme with specialized post types for Case Studies, Services, and Insights, complemented by custom taxonomies such as Industry and Technology for more structured and intuitive content organization.
Frontend
The website leverages the Bootstrap 5 CSS framework, while its JavaScript, written in ES6, is compiled with Babel to ensure compatibility with legacy browsers.
Tracking
I collaborated with the Admin team to set up Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for user tracking and performance monitoring.
Launch & Results
I led training sessions for the HR team on managing job postings and utilizing filters with the new taxonomies. The end result is a modern, scalable, and highly optimized website that elevates GIANTY brand presence while simplifying content management—particularly for case studies and recruitment.
